I think I've caught the dreaded RR desease..........! I keep seeing Ford Probe's and thinking how cool they'd look made in to a drift car.
Some classic 'J' styling as seen on many Corolla's, Skyline's etc, with a nice modern(ish) J motor supplying the rear wheels - maybe twin turbo Mitsubishi power from the 3000 GTO, or Supercharged V-Tec?
Now I know Probe's are as ugly as, but some times this is what makes many cars appealing / desirable + when was the last time you saw a tastefully modded Probe.......?!
Maybe aside from the drift look, they'd look pretty kool as a street-sleeper - decked in Satin black, on some 16" moondiscs with 225/45/16R rubber, some serious neg. camber front & back, maybe a bit of a roof chop........!?!?
I was following one the other day home from work down the Windsor relief road towards Slough, and it was fully loaded with people so it looked really kool from the back. The rest of the car was std, but it just got me thinking (so hard I missed the turning for the M4 and started following it in to Slough!)
Done a little research on eBay / local adds, and they seem to be relative cheap + there's heaps of room for a power plant.
Maybe this could be another modern/retro addition to the list...............?
Thoughts?

The thing that most disturbed me about this thread is that you said you started following it into Slough, thats enough to bring anyone back to there senses.
Seriously I was thinking NO!!! until the satin black/moondiscs combo at which point I was thinking YES!!!

Working with its 'styling' a 90's futuristic look dropped on steelies or trick/custom 3 spokes! that would do me or if matt blacks involved, think robocop for this look.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Satin black over moondiscs would work well. It would also work well on a Calibra

urgh just no. first things first drift car... rwd conversion before think about any of this styling. and thats enough work. to me probes are just ...nasty. my advice is. buy a s13 200sx because 1) its rwd 2)it looks like a probe 3)it wont take much to get the "drift look" 4)its probably not a great deal more expensive

But the lakes look...yeah thats brilliant!!!!!! (from a lakes racer...)

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

I used to love probes, never really seen a good one tho.
I dare say my master plan for a probe would be some kind of rally slag wheels, Delta Integrale wheels would be top of the list (polished). And then the rest of the body work smoothed, with the old J lazy-eyed headlights trick going on
