buy an old mk1 Xbox (20 quid or so if you cant find one free) and just install some emulators, i have Snes, nes, megadrive and PS1 games on mine, as well as it still playing xbox games.

Have you seen what Ben Heck and others do
use the circuit board out of consoles and computers to make portable consoles or laptops.

TBH just get a PSP put the M33 firmware on and boom handheld NES/SNES/Megadrive ETC ETC in one.

There have been serveral xboxes converted to laptops. You could even do that, and rewire an old xbox controller into a nes case. If you REALLY wanted to.
