Project Wendy has got my creative juices flowing and this evening I've started on another recycling project.my son has long since out grown his first bike in its original style and its not really suitable for his younger sister so I'm tinkering with it.the idea is to turn it into a show bike for him that he can work on himself. the bike. some collected parts the working mock up I've always liked the frame shape on this bike and think it lends itself to a chopper style cruiser.the stickers have to go for sure and it will be getting a respray too,not sure what colour yet though.I may paint the frame 'VW brilliant orange' to match the wheels on the Tiki mobile,my son may have other ideas.

great style, but rock the handlebars back a little if you want to make it alot more rideable Cheers for that,I have rocked back the bars and its improved the handling no end.my son has been hooning around on it all day because his school is shut for polling day.with the stablizers and stickers off its coming together already ;D He has chosen this design from the Electra bikes range and the colours are perfect to match the Imp,the scalloping will be a challenge though!

we've been hard at work between showers of rain and other jobs in the garden trying to finish of the bike today.the paint was still wet when he went to bed so I've just finished putting it back together for him,its now waiting in his room for the morning ;D All thats left to do is the pinstriping,I've mixed up some 'sour apple green' one-shot ready for another day.

That's awesome, however.... it's missing one vital component.

;D Cheers for the comments,I agree with the white wall idea, the bike has 14" wheels and I'm on the look out for some but,as yet the only ones I found are in the states and it costs twice the original cost to ship them! this was ment to be a low budget project but I've already ordered some custom graphics from SLOOK designs www.slook.co.uk/ and keep finding myself looking at low rider parts like the one above

I've spent a rare moment of peace in the Tiki house playing with my Mack brush and one shot. the paint. the mess. the bike. all I can say is hats off to pro stripers,it's not an easy thing to do and striping curves on tubing is mind bendingly tricky!

thanks for that,I need 14 x 2.125 to fit the wheels.unless anyone knows different,I don't think these will stretch to fit.

They'll be fine, the 2.125 refers to the width as you probably know so the ones in the link would be a bit narrower but would still fit perfectly fine.
