We've got the rather cool Mobile Diner that has done a few shows as the outside catering on the Sunday,... but how would you guys like it for the Saturday (evening) at the campsite??

Saw that at wheels day, majorly cool! If the food is good quality ( a lot of car show snackvan food is very nasty) bring it on!

i'm planning on bbq'ing it for evening food. as said it depends on prices, looks like that may be expensive as it looks pretty good.

I think disposable bbqs are better imo but they do have chips and juice.

If this mobile joint offers good for a good price I'm game, because I wasn't planning on taking my own meat and bbq over all the way from Holland. Is there something else in the neighbourhood to get some decent prices dinner?

We dined at that van and the fire engine bar with Seth at Race Retro this year, foods not bad and I seem to remember the proce wasn't too steep.

I can see a lot of the campers bringing their own BBQ´s as that´s part of the fun but if the diner does decent grub at fair prices i think they´ll do alright, especially on the Sunday with all the show visitors.

BBQ for meat, truck for chips, sounds a perfect combo to me so I'll be up for buying stuff from it

As Dave has said, I think it'll do more trade 'on the day' rather than on the Sat night.
I'll be taking a BBQ (and fridge) because that's what I am used to doing....I usually take enough food for 4/5/6 people even though it'll be just me. That way anyone like Volksman who is coming from Holland or somewhere else equally distant can join in the whole communal beer/BBQ thing as well.
I think the diner is a great idea but reckon its market will be a bit limited on Sat night compared to what it will probably generate on Sunday.

MM, the whole communal BBQ sounds very good indeed. Will be happy to join in (eating as well as costs). I will be taking some beer though. ;D

Well i'd probably grab something especially after a few beers.. and think they would make a few quid as a meeting place on sat night, but as has been said many inc. me will be bringing bbq's and the like.
