Much happiness!
Out and about locally I spotted this leaning against someones wall...
...a lovely old Elswick-Hopper Whirlwind which we think (after some 'net research) dates from somewhere between the late 50s to the 70s. The owner was about so I asked him about the bike. Turns out he was cleaning the shed out and needed the space and if I wanted it, it was mine. Sorted!
Details:
Plans? Short term, I'll be nicking some choice bits off it for my Bianchi bobber project (including those dynamo lights I suspect, which work!), but my son has taken rather a shine to the Hopper so I reckon it'll be going back togetrher again long-term.
