Lets clear up car terms:
"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Have a ring 'round your local "chav car accessory" shops - my U-bolts came from GK's in Colchester. They're actually longer than standard ones for use with lowering blocks but they cut down OK! GK's always seem to have them in stock too.

^^^ As above, but I've also picked them up in Wilco in the past too. Again, usually in stock with lowering blocks as well.
