Inspired by Lord Sethington of Golders Greenworth and Jonny S of RR fame, I bought a rusty box with the express intention of filling it with bass. But I wanted it to perform perfectly, so I farmed the work out to Vibe, who made it into this. Which, they say, sounds as good as a sub in a box.

Love the idea, recon it'll need a rubber seal around the lid though to stop any rattle

That is just immense!
Patina with punch. LOVE IT!
Was it much moolah to have it converted? I'd imagine something bespoke like that was not cheap....but well worth it all the same.
Looking forward to seeing this fitted.

I wouldn't of thought they would charge a prohibitively high price, though. Glad y'all like it

Very possibly! It's a great way to get ICE into a classic, so I can see it being a popular choice.
Can I lay claim to being amongst the first few employers of this idea...?

I think it's because its a) easy and b) effective. I'd love to see some more interesting ideas too - I mean... there's gotta be a zillion housing options if you think hard enough! On here at least, you are but the 3rd person to do it so you're there buddy

I think the difficulty lies in getting the sound quality to match the looks. I can't wait to hear mine - it should be delivered on Monday, so I'll let you know if it's as good as they say it is. A how-to guide on porting and air space would be really useful - any ICE experts willing to share their knowledge?

My mate had the Suitcase of Doom a good 8yrs or so ago. It was basicaly an old 50/60's suitcase, with a sub, some small components and a headunit all in one tidy compact package, sounded good too i'll ask him if he ever took pics of it.
This box is an awesome bit of kit though.
