Thought it was about time I showed you lot at least one of mine as I have been looking at yours for some time... Me and my Girlfreind have owned this for about 9 years now, some of you may recognise it, as I did, as an ex-staff car from both Classic Cars and Popular Classics Magazines from the Early Nineties, it was owned and imported by the then Editor of both, Mark Dixon.. It passed through a lot of hands and ended up with a Freind of mine, Jay Stacey (slammed230te), I instantly recognosed the reg. no. and dug out the magazines.... I needed to own it!! He had it for about 18 months, spent a load of money having the engine re-built etc. and put it up for sale. Me and my Girlfreind clubbed together and paid the 1500 quid asking price and took ownership!! Since buying the Car, I have poured loads of time and money into it, I have made a few mistakes along the way, like paying a well known Hot Rod shop to install the Air Bags because I didnt have the room to do it myself, and the final bill came in at 5 times the estimate... that cleared out our entire savings account!!! Since I have had it back from them the whole lot has been gone through by myself and Jay who I bought it from and re-done... Anyways, We love it to bits!! It has a far from perfect paintjob, the interior is also well used, the rebuilt engine has a lazy lifter that makes people wince when they hear it, the wheels have rust.... but hey, its old!! The spec is as follows, to those who care??!! ;D ;D ;D 401ci. Nail head with Holley 600 Vac Sec carb, Dynaflow Transmission, Aluminium Finned Drum Brakes, Air ride technologies easy street air ride system, Two Switches, upgraded with two Firestone pumps, 5 gallon air tank painted Cusom Candy Blue, boarded and carpeted boot by Jay, Custom dual 2 inch exhaust system with Smithys Glass Pack Mufflers, Mooneyes Turnouts (working), and Fishtail Tail pipes, 15x7 Astro Supremes, full Reverse with Bullet Caps, Mooneyes Tri Bar Head lamp covers, I also have a spare, 60,000 mile engine which I plan to switch over this winter so I can sort the lazy lifter situation, I am going to remove the mufflers and change the Tail Pipes, was going to fit Bellflower Tips by they are getting done to death at the moment... I have managed to gather a set of Lucas 576 spotlamps to use as headlamps and ultimately I would like to change the wheels, I REALY want a set of Skylark Wires but I cant afford them, anyone want a kidney?? Oh, and the boot may get filled up with stereo...Any way, heres some pictures... ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/Fixedit.jpg) ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P1010462.jpg) ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P1010460.jpg) ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P1010459.jpg) ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P1010463.jpg) Smaller Tyres and it would lay frame... ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P1010455.jpg) I will get some pictures of the inside etc. next time I have it out. Thanks for looking!! ;D ;D ;D

Cheers you lot!!! The rear letters have different effects on people, Kid's without their parents present laugh and show their mates, mother's drag their kid's away and generaly dad's point and whisper both to their kid's and wives... The back shelf covered with Porno mag's had the same effect in my old Split Screen Van...

Thanks for the kind words people!!! Decided to go for the Bellflower tips anyway, despite them being a little bit popular at the moment.... I usually try to do something a bit different but I have to admit, I have had a thing for bellflowers for quite a while.... Anyways, I rang Miles at Namco on Tuesday after being told that he was the Man and I have to admit, he is!! He even Phoned up the bloke that owns the Blue Flake Ex-Paul Barrow 64 Riv to make sure the length was right before he sold them to me!! They arrived with me the next day, were very reasonably priced, and the postage was CHEAP!!! I will definately be using him again... Right, Saturday, it was up to my Very good freind Waynes Workshop, for the Fittment of said items, along with the removal of the silencers and the addition of some steel spark plates... His work was top notch as usual and so cheap its untrue!!!!!!! So there you go, a good supplier, a Good Freind and a result I am more than happy with!!! And, yes, it's very loud!! ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060758.jpg) The old Fishtails, I like these, but it was time for a change ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060759.jpg) My Smithys Glasspacks, no more!!! Replaced with two lengths of straight pipe.. ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060763.jpg) Wayne, a rare breed.. ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060765.jpg) Boso Rivi??? ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060767.jpg) With the old tailpipes removed and a new mount fabricated, the 90 degree bend is tried out.. ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060770.jpg) Sweet!!! Took ages of mocking up and standing back 'till it all fitted and looked right!! ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060771.jpg) Here you can see how they are mounted to the quarter panel, You cant see any of it from the top ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060772.jpg) The new tail end... Lovely!!! ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060775.jpg) ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060776.jpg) ![](http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj292/flannelracing/P6060778.jpg) And finaly, outside after a quick leather!! I am VERY happy with the result, they sound excellent, and the sparks plates realy work well!! I was so impressed we went up to Southed Seafront last night, Max Power Night.... There were some seriously nice cars there, and the young'ens enjoyed the fireworks... Thanks Wayne, and thanks Miles!!!
