ok, this is my first post in this section, and hopefully you don't laugh, but we were having fun ....
the worst thing that can happen to you when you have a water bed, is a leaking water bed.... this happened to our bed, and it was not nice to wake up in a small lake every morning... so we drained the water out, cleaned everything and looked at the core, to find the leak. No luck You could easily find the leak with 800 l of water inside, but if the leak is on the bottom, it's hard to move 800 kgs and turn them upside down. So the idea was to fill only 50l and inflate the core. That's what we did, but still no luck, as you could not inflate it properly. So then i had an idea; the plug from the water bed has the same thread as the plug from a brake fluid container.... so i drilled a hole in the plug, fitted it to my easy bleed and then we could pressurize the core :
;D now comes the best part, did your wife ever make troouble if you had car parts in the bedroom ?
mine doesn't do anymore ;D ;D I took the spare wheel, as i couldn't directly connect the air hose to the plug, so the pressure was also reduced to 1,5bar, which is enough to find a leak....( and not enough to explode the bed)
we found the leak, fixed it and we can soon sleep on the bed again....
what did we learn ?
- use as much criticised tools (i.e. compressor) in the house as possible....
- car parts in the bed room sometimes can be very useful ;D
;D
