curious about the 5x100 drilling kit and how one uses it etc

It's basically a 6mm steel plate, with holes to bolt it in to the existing 4x100 holes (to align it) and then 4 more holes sized to pass a 10.5mm drill bit through (tap size for m12x1.5 wheel bolts)
You'd take your 4x100 hub off the car, put it on a drill press and bolt the jig to it, then run the drill down one hole, remove the jig and put the tap in the chuck (to make sure you start off tapping straight) turn the drill chuck by hand and tap the thread with the tap in the drill chuck.
Rinse and repeat for the other 4 holes, then use the same jig to make marks on the disks and drill them to about 13mm to give room for the bolt.
Not all hubs are suitable - sometimes they are thicker where the 4x100 holes are, sometimes they have other holes for ABS rings, disk/drum retaining screws etc.
