Erm... as the title really. What's the best way to clean or flush an oil cooler out? It's an engine oil cooler as opposed to trans oil cooler in this instance. Paraffin? Diesel? Gunk? Petrol? Cillit Bang?

id use petrol dude maybe add some lemon juice for the laugh ;D That sounds about right. Should dissolve all the curse word that's in there. Lemon juice... I've got Thousand Island dressing, reckon that'll help? Maybe some Tabasco? It certainly clears MY pipes. ;D

don't forget to cable tie it to your front bumper for a while so the wind can dry it out for you just tuck the pipes out of the way into the grille...

If its a used coller of unknown history,----don't use it----,all you want is a piece of curse word to come out of the cooler, even if you think its clean, into your engine or gearbox, and it wrecked it, for the sake of £40.00 or so, it it worth having to but a new engine or box

I used lots of parrafin,
Whatever you do, don't think just because you flushed it out with lots of parrafin it will be ok to fire the garden hose through it, just incase it squirts indelible black gunge out all over you wifes patio furniture...
