Can't beat a bit of retro gaming, only last week my mate gave me a box full of old stuff.
It had a Nes with 13 games, 2 pads and a Nintendo joystick thing.
Also in it was a Snes, but only with 3 games, 2 pads and a proper old wooden fronted Atari thing. Not bad for free!
Has anyone got any Snes games they want to part with at sensible prices, i.e not e bay prices? Mainly after the imortal Mario Kart and Pilot Wings, but open to others so W.H.Y, drop me a PM.

Black border and red screen. Snazzy.
This is what I was making, approx. 18 years ago...
The animation's properly smooth in reality, by the way. Damned YouTube making me look amateurish...

I had a ZX81, Spectrum 48k, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Amiga 1200 and then PCs and a load of old consoles in between. As a true 'veteran' computer user, I couldn't even really bear to play old games. They held my attention in those days and became the only thing I ever did as a kid.
I'm bored of the fanboy thing now and don't even play XBox or PS3 anymore as the games are dull and unneccessarily flashy and cliched, and the whole EA content purchasing thing (where you buy the game, and then have to spend more on further game content) has just about put me off forever. I work in the games industry and it's a shame I have to hate to see what's coming out these days. I'd love to do 2D games again, and the whole 'simplicity' and passion involved in making those games makes playing them worth it again. Sorry for gripe.

know where ya coming from tho! I was talking to a chap today about modern consoles and how i'd love a PS3, but there are so many different versions I'm totally confused which one to buy! Puts me off! A NES is a NES and that is that! No messing, no "mine's better than yours because it has this and that and does this and that etc". Seems a lot of people are making backwards steps towards retro stuff looking on ebay!

Bolderdash! The best game ever, spent many hours as a "yoof" playing that"! Ghostbusters was another good one, I recall some game guiding a Whale around? Was pretty good fun back than, but took 25mins to load from cassette!! Nice to see you've got one in working order Dan
