Right then , due to utter boredom I want to change the colour of the wheels on this , they are steel wellers so easy to paint.. My question to all of you is what colour , do I go subdued or garish . I need some ideas please

Well here's a boring answer, leave them as they are, looks perfect as it is (IMHO), cant think of a colour for the wheels that would be an IMProvement.

Love it...
I'd leave the wheels either white or silver. Silver is probably more period authentic, but white suits the body colour better, IMO.

Could just eat a couple of sauce-rich kebabs in the car, no need to paint! I'm looking at the picture of the car now and I can't come up with a single thing I'd change on it

As has been said Dave, it's perfect as it is. In fact, the only thing that I know bugs you a bit is the paint finish (which I think is absolutely fine!) but I know you don't want to do all that again so just use it and enjoy it mate!
If you're really that bored and looking for something to do...... errm........ any news on that starter motor? :-)

If you're really that bored and looking for something to do...... errm........ any news on that starter motor? :-) Needs an armature rewind or really a new one , field coils re- taping and new brushes and bushes and the brush holders are earthed , biggest issue is that its been run without the rear bush so the armatures hit the pole shoes and chewed the lot to bits basically its not a happy starter I recon 7 hours would fix it give or take 12 hours or so I Bet it made a hideous noise when used ? Verdict SCRAP , But I will keep it here for bits and il see if I can knock up a starter from scratch , or is that scrap

I was going to suggest red and then I saw the seats were red so that confirms it even more IMHO. Or sideball = yellow.

I like the result, the starting point was pretty rough, I have been there before with rough seats,

No worries, and thanks but I've not had to do half as much to it as you have to yours!
