its the white ring that sits under the plunger. by taking that out it can move up and down more so you can turn the fuel up more. aw aye, ive got that removed too, release now why its called the 'polo' mod lol I also have the egr completely removed. Are you sure you cant shim the governer springs? the 1.6 VW guys have been doing it for years on their aul yoks. Doing so eliminates the fuel supply being cut off at around 4500rpm. allows her to rev up past 5000rpm. here's info to pump internal modification on a 306, cant see it being too different on a bosch ve pumped corsa. its worth a read if your into diesel tuning. www.pug306.net/forum/showthread.php?t=67216more pump mods are my next job to do once I have re bleed the brakes. so will have a good look at that site thanks

Fantastic! Daft question, but does it have an intercooler? I couldn't see one in the pics and wondered if it had one as standard or whether you have fitted one or not. Bet it sounds mad with that side-exhaust. That's the nice thing about diesels - no need for back-pressure!

I had fitted a nice alloy one fitted but had a bit to much fun in the last lot of snow we had it ran a bit higher boost with that fitted and ran a high 14s pass at the pod. I have a cav 2L turbo intercooler in there now but its not as good so have droped the boost down to 1.4bar. so I am on the look out for a better intercooler now but don't want to spend out on a new one.

not had time to do much to the car as I have not been well. the bakes need bleeding again as air is still getting in. I have got some new copper washes that fit the pipe to the caliper. so will fit them and try again.
is there anyone in the northants area that would like to come a give me a hand ? as bleading brakes is not to easy on your own

don't wanna spoil the fun but get an Eezibleed kit if you're trying singlehanded. good way to spend £16 odd, I've done three clutches now and I never touched hydraulics before that!

If the pedal's spongey it's always a good idea to clean out the master cylinder, as after 10 or so years, it gets filled with sludge and backing it up makes everything mushy. I did this and the braking was totally solid.
