Certainly is a good deal,.. you can get it on a lot of good magazines over at www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk I think they do all the Future Publishing titles as well as this deal on Retro Cars. They will also deliver to europe and overseas (although the costs are a lot higher) ,... but at least the NZ guys wouldn't be 3 months behind

HTW - were you looking into PPC subs? *n Yeah retrocarclub had looked into them and they wanted a certain number of people so he asked if we could fill the short fall. Which we couldn't. I'm always a bit wary about tying us into anyone, sponsorship etc. etc. I like to keep the forum's objectivity.

i could probably organise us space at the Modified Nationals show next year if anyone is interested? Its a bit 'max power' but next year its being held at rockingham and we would have use of an 1/8th mils sprint track and also the oval circuit ....

I think R-R stands at established shows feels more in-tune with Retro-Rides. Showing people what we like and what we do and maybe recruiting them to the fold seems more like how the site and forums have grown than just standing out there on our own...

Reckon they'll ever be a Retro-Rides show? Gotta be worth looking into in a year or two I reckon. There is a possibility,.. I looked at doing it next year in fact, but decided against it,.. I want to get a bunch of people together as an kind of official RR gathering first, see what that is like to organise. I may speak to a friend with some experience of doing shows about doing one in 2007. Retro needs more shows, thats for sure!

I thought about things like Trax and stuff,.. but it's not totally in keeping with what we are up to, so I'm steering clear.... besides I may be experiencing a bit of J-jetlag at that time next year We'll be having a stand at one of the Burrows/Brett organised events, but I'm not sure which one. That'll be an invite thing as well as I want the cream of the crop. Most looking forward to Retro Cars,.. see if we can break the record for stand size

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead but, I think having a stand at something like trax is a good idea, sure, it wouldn't be possible to have a RCS size stand but a half decent size is more than possible and it'd be a way of educating the masses. Some lad who's spent thousands on doing up his Corsa may wander over and see someones Datsun or whatever and think 'i've got to have one of those' if you think about it, i bet half of these lads who drive their, Saxo's, Corsa's, 106's etc have never even seen half the cars on this site in the flesh and so never even considered owning one. I bet if R-R had a stand it would attract probably as much if not more attention than any other club.
