Hi all not really sure where I should post this odd request but thought here is as good as anywhere.. mods if needed feel free to move it.
Ok I'm trying to figure out a way of generating smoke on demand.. by use of a switch. Therefore electrically generated. Its to be used outdoors so the DJ type machines probably wont cut it. My initial thoughts were the airsoft type smoke grenades used in paintball games etc. Now you can get 9volt ignited ones but my googling has shown they shoot the canister out leaving you holding the tube and the smoke elsewhere.. i need it in situ. The other type are strike lit.. perhaps these can be lit with a charge?
My only other concern is the heat these things may generate.. i've not used them myself my plans involve them being put in a tube/housing and venting the smoke through the end.. it would be away from sources of ignition.. i think but wondering how hot the tube could get?
Hope someone can offer suggestions.. anything appreciated and i don't mind making stuff myself if it works out easier!
