Have to say a MASSIVE thankyou to Nathan BGTMidget and PaulMI16 for their help today, it made the whole thing enjoyable.
I've been needing to change the gearbox fluid and filter on the "sealed for life" (LOL) BMW slushbox for some time, but mojo being at low ebb and time being hard to find meant that I'd left it longer than I'd have liked. So Nathan and Paul offered to give me a hand on what is not the most pleasant of jobs.
I drove up to Nathan's place to make use of his excellent facilities and hospitality. Started at 2pm and we were all done by 10pm, including engine oil and filter change too.
It would have been a miserable task to do on my own, but we had a great laugh and got the job done.
Mojo has had a massive boost which I can channel into getting the Benz project going again, and I have a silky smooth slushbox gearchange once more, which should hopefully have cured the flaring that I've been experiencing.
If your mojo has taken a beating lately as mine has, I recommend getting together with some fellow petrol heads as it really does help get the enthusiasm going again!
Nathan was photographer for today's shennanigans so hopefully he'll be able to populate this thread with pics soon.
