Good to see that you have done it properly and tiled all the way from wall to wall. I have fitted loads of Spammy spam spam spam, no thank you, man. (used to be a chippy) and nothing pisses me off more than when people just tile up to the plinths. Yes you might save a few quid in tiles but it is messy, more work to level the units up and a potential problem if you ever get a serious leak.

Yes, the floor was miles off level so I did the lot to get it as levelled as possible and for the sake of a few extra boxes of tiles not worth the shortcut. :-)

Those are beautifull units.
Great job and turnaround there too.

Most I've fitted or taken out (as DIY) have had the base units resting on a baton on wall at the back that is level, with only the front having legs so not really an issue. I do tile under the front legs though so they can be levelled.

Bit more bodging today: The walls are a 1950's version of poured on site concrete, ie. they pour concrete into a frame of mesh then take the mesh away when dry. It is therefore made up of a LOT of pebbles which are impossible to drill into properly even using an SDS drill. I'd put this off as I knew it would be a pain to hack out especially being so thick. Outside needs new render - more work...

OMG!
That's some epic work right there. What a transformation! The original retro wood panelled kitchen is kinda cool in a kinda retro kinda way, but I don't think I'd want to live with it.
Good work, some great skills and lots of patience. Can't wait to see the fnished result.....
