Model: Opel Manta 1800 Berlinetta Hatch (manual box) Year: 1983 Mileage: 126k (unconfirmed) Tax: n/a MOT: n/a Location: Sutton Bridge, South Lincs/Norfolk/Cambs border PE12 Price: £350 Additional Information: This has been off the road for a few years, but is a solid car for a Manta, a good shell that needs tidying. Exhaust is blowing but the car comes with a good 2nd hand one. Doesn't have a factory sunroof (has a dealer fit glass one) so no roof rot issues. I've swapped out the knackered red interior for a charcoal one from a low mileage Manta GT, but there are a few parts missing (boot trim panels, wheelarch carpet etc). This car could be back on the road with a little effort. It has the original alloys but the tyres are poor, so I'll include a set of Manta 1800 steels with decent tyres as well. One of the chassis rails will need doing on the swan neck, the other seems good. Contact: Steve 07986 971692

Rare car now. Would be a shame to see it broken for it's gearbox and bits. Have a fee bump

any ideas as to what it'd need to get it through an mot? (mainly is it structure welding or replacement parts job) is it driveable as is? agree with slammed66, it'd be a shame to see this ripped up for the escort bits

As far as I know it's now structurally good. Will probably need brakes sorting, although it does drive. The exhaust will need doing, and drivers seatbelt refitting. With the steels on I really don't think it'd need a lot more, but I haven't put it in for one so I can't say 100%.
It would be a shame for it to be broken for those parts, although I must admit to being tempted to do that myself, and then re-engine it as a 2.0 cih, just haven't got the time to strip it.

Had a look round this today, and one of the chassis rails will need doing in the normal Manta place, the other appears good. I've dropped the price in light of this.

If you just put it through an MOT to see what it needs - these have a bit of notoriety in getting past MOTs and it'd be worth just having a red sheet just to see what's up with it.

To be honest, it's being sold for the value of it's sump and gearbox, I really don't want to spend £30 on a test.
If it doesn't sell soon then I will do the work to put a test on it and keep it.
