Piccies and news.... ;D As finished and let loose to the outside world... Am having a few carb issues.... it is being a little bu**er to ge to sycronise... apart from that, it passed it's MoT, and has been running fairly well until the exhaust decided on a performance mod.... I'll let you judge how good this is... Before: After And the decider has to be the noise...

Doncha hate when bikes mod them selves? LOL
Great sound, not a high pitched feverish sound like a fast four.

The exhaust had to go back to stock.... it was making my ears bleed... just a bit too loud for my 7am start. More work done.... managed to source a new rear fender as the original was rapidly dissapearing!! After much grinding hitting and swearing the original was free and the new one installed. Here's the difference...

Good work Twins sound lush when liberated appropriately (always chuffing loud though) my neighbors hate me. Ain't the 250 a sleeved down 400 with the bottom end being the same? pretty sure it is,could be a easy conversion.

It did sound good!! But oh BOY it was loud!!
The 250 is a sleeved 400 block but with a different crank, pistons, rods, head and carbs.
The conversion is done but by changing the complete engine and carbs. I wouldn't be so happy with just that though, I would also want to uprate the brakes at the same time.
