I've heard that a few people have sprayed Zinc rich Weld through primer onto inner panels so as to keep the rust at bay. However, after spraying it on one area of my car, I am not not too sure.
I sprayed it on, as I couldn't work on the car for the rest of the day and I had baremetal present, and it seemed to have good reviews (That is, the UPOL Weld Through Primer (Zinc Rich). Before the end of the week it already seemed to be rust stained, with another area (on the same panel/area) done in Etch was rust free, that was even where fresh metal had been let in!
Of course, I took it off straight away after seeing this. I guess the lesson that I learned is that 'no primer is waterproof, but instead porous).
In case you all know this, sorry for wasting your time, but I have heard of people spraying this stuff liberally inside sills etc. so as to keep rusting from inside out at bay.
Hmmm, so what do you put in those hard to reach areas? I guess it's thinned down Waxoyl with holes made so that it can be accessed after welding the car up .
