Having seen the thread with SOC's Classic, it's brought on a musing... Now I know I'm a Ford man, but is this.... ...one of, if not the finest rump that one might find on an old car? I'm keen to see the competition.... Chris

Haven't a pic, but I'm a '60 Ford Starliner lover - esp that just-built blue and white Watson-style one...

Sweeeeeeeeeet Hmm "fat bottom girls" , the hayseed dixie version NOT the queen version springs to mind at those 2 choices The impala rocks big time with the classic coming in a rather distant 2nd IMHO

This always makes me happy in my pants... especially with the cracked open boot and some carbs on show...

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

I love the 59 Impala, everything about it... but for a great rear end... Pontiac Strato Chief. They knew how to make tourers back then!

I suppose this ain't too bad.... ;D He put 58 Dodge tail lights in it, had it pinstriped and re-routed the exhausts so it's cleaner. I do love it! Chris

Gordon Bennett - seeing that blue Bentley takes me back: When I worked at (dare I mention it?) the SMMT I used to see that one on my lunchtime strolls.

Modern retro with a fine posterior - the Morgan Aeromax... ...which, incidentally, has the lights from the rather less attractive Lancia Thesis. And for a purposeful rear-end, how about the Kamm tail of a Porsche 917K?
