Hi All Can someone pls enlighten me as to how the switches are laid out on a 'bike? R/hand controls throttle ,but what switches are on the right? And are there any on the left?. I'm asking as I'm trying to figure out what goes where on my new project trike. I don't start the frame build for a couple of weeks ,but trying to get my head round all aspects! I wont need levers for front brake(foot operated) or clutch (auto). I assume there are places that sell the switches, and the throttle controls? As youve guessed ,I'm not a biker!!! lol! Rod

Right hand switches will be engine start/kill switch and normally lights on off
left hand switchgear will be indicators and main beam along with the horn.
easiest thing is to pick up the switchgear which goes with the front end you are using and splice the loom into the trike. I personaly would get a complete bike and then sell the bits you don't need on ebay that way you can utilise the front end and the front of the frame.
could never understand trikes as you get the worst of both worlds... stuck in traffic like a car and wet like on a bike lol
be interesting to see a thread on the build though. best of luck!

thanks for the info. Ive already got the front end ,engine and rearend, just waiting for the auto box.I understand what you mean about sitting in traffic etc,but Ive always fancied a trike . I'm actually building this for a disabled mate. If all goes to plan ,will do another for me,when this ones done!

Not that it matters much though. I'm afraid I'm with croaky on that one. Good luck with the build though!
