I'm starting to bottle lots of cider up so I can put it in storage and leave it for a few months/years. I want to use bottles with CROWN corks, but at £3 for 6 bottles from Wilkos it'll bankrupt me before I have enough.
Any ideas where to get them from? I know pubs get money for sending Newky Brown bottles back, but what about Bulmers/Koppaberg bottles? Think i'm gonna have ask at the local pubs see if they can save all the bottles for me.

What I did was beg as many bottles as I could from everyone I knew. I stopped short of raiding bottle recycling bins as you don't know where they've been.

I should imagine bottles from a recycling bin are fine if you sterilize them properly. You might be able to get hold of a used stovetop autoclave fairly cheaply (I looked into this for bottling wine- they're about £300 new so used could be very cheap indeed).
Or even rent the use of one from a local college or vetinary school.
A pressure cooker would work too, although they aren't as hot as autoclaves.

Or you could just put them in the oven like when making jam/pickle.

you could always use a baby bottle steriliser and clean them in small batches, in scotland barrs still do returnable glass bottles 750ml (irn bru) with a screwcap fitted you will find them in most building sites etc.

Mine are in spitfire bottles (get the fun of drinking it first!) and then I use one of those bottle top kits from Wilko to press a new beer bottle lid on and then go hide it away and await a day when I feel brave enough to drink it.
