OK, again, title not really helpfull. If I were to buy the car in the thread I started earlier, I would like to add some "Sexy" could "Subtle" fit in the same sentence ? Wheels to the car, and lower it sensibly, 35mm - 65mm. I like polished lip, deep dish and sporty/race look wheels. What is out there in 4 x 100 and at sensible prices..... ?? Car in question: Thread: retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=57949Thanks in advance. Any ideas, and pics from your own "PERV STASH" appreciated.

Hartge 16's are simply awesome on E30's (although they command quite a price!) My old Touring running on Hartge's: There is also lots & lots to choose from in the VW scene (but heavy tax) along with the following makes (to name but a few!) Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Vauxhall, Rover & Renault.... Quite a variety out there and some great wheels to be had. Lots of E30's rolling Azev's, Borbet's, BBS etc....and banded steels quite rare on the 3 series unlike the VW's, so might be a route worth considering (8" front, 9" back) Black banded steelie's with a nice drop on a white E30 would rock. Nothing else needed. Good stuff - go get it and enjoy! (sorry I didn't get chance to respond to the text earlier, but knew more detail would be found on here... ;D)

Thanks so far guys, Bruce, Interesting, we were talking about the fact that your cars alwa ys seem to be turned out "just right" The touring is another example. I have a colleague whose surname is Lau.
Anyway, I will decide in the morning , after going over the car more prppperly. (Typed under influence, a good time to buy a car ?? )
Keep the ideas comming guys.

PS: Bruce, I do not do "Tax" so guess it will be a bit left field if I were to buy it in the morning.

I know what does look nice on an E30. Remember 4 x boxes that Dave dropped off at your house, currently sat in Area 52? Well, they look good on E30's (although you can't have 'em cause they're mine!)

?? spokes Bruce No, no, no, no, no.......they are supposed to be 'top secret'! It was the other wheels I was talking about - I'll send you a photo tomorrow. Good on you for hitting the old Vino Collapso. Posting on forums when pi$$ed is great! Another wheel option - good old Ronal's. Not too expensive but look the biz.... 'of the era' too ;D

Gorgeous, but I would say a lot of work and £££'s to get it there. Ahhh - Ste's M52 engined beauty. You won't believe the work that has gone into that thing! The Hartge splitties on that are worth a small fortune. He used to run some D90's on it too (I'll see if I can find a pic)

Here you go - I knew I had a shot of it somewhere: His website is also pretty awesome.....especially the detailed build thread on how to fit an M52 engine: www.e3024v.com/....in fact, I have a complete 32,000 mile M52 engine sat in Area 52 at the moment....perfect for your new car ;D ;D

I like the Stealty, "What has he possibly got in there? " look these wheels give. As to engine transplants, at the moment, I would guess the 1800cc would be enough motorvation for it, along with great looks.

Not sure these would go with the white car, but I do know I like them a lot, and even though they have somewhat been done to death, they still look just right to me. They can be made to look even more awesome on a white car: These wheels may have been done to death on some cars (Golf's, Clio's etc...) but are very rarely seen on E30's......and if you paint them as above, it'll be something different again on a BMW. Food for thought. I know what I would do ;D Give me a call a bit later...(if you're not too hungover )

100% not hungover. Off to Nicola's in a bit, have to start stripping out her kitchen, as I want to get onto the bus this week as well. Chat later. Here is her Garden now.... been spending a lot of time there .
