Recently my interest in Volkswagen's Golf has really taken off, and I think its fair to say that the German hatch is a popular choice amongst Retro-Rider's right? So here's the place to post pictures of your favourite Golf's ever and since its quite possibly one of the most modified cars ever it shouldn't be too hard to come across a few that you like, so post away. ;D I'll start with these two offerings from the M.I.V.W boy's of Holland. Cor van Leeuwen's 1990 MK2. "Burbo's" 1.8 20v Turbo MK2. Both smooth and subtle in their styling but both look completly different.

It got weighed in after it's new owner threw two rods at once. Scum.
Basically a 91/H-reg black mkII 8v GTi big bumper with a 2.2 litre stroked + bored 16v long block engine. Lightened, balanced, virtually no flywheel, knife-edged crank, steel internals, Throttle bodies, EFi, dizzyless, laughing gas, mounted in a cradle that was part of the roll cage superstructure and started at the firewall, full double wishbone setup at each corner, rear floorpan cut out and replaced with subframe tied into cage big discs behind white Compomotive MOs for sprints, slightly smaller ones behind the stock BBS cross-spokes for road, 3 different maps (race, road and mum), used to commute daily for a decade and did the weekly shop.
He sold it when he was made redundant to a gimp who removed the rev limiter because he thought 8,000rpm was a bit girly. TwaÂt.

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.

Got that rapid Ibiza now if he's the one i'm thinking of. Thats the chap - though I think he'd be driving something more exotic that an Ibiza if he actually owned Motech, however he has now moved to Ireland & now runs the Irish side of the Motech operations. Boyd sold the car about three years ago - This is the only pic I can find with it the original wheels.... Boyd didn't build the car originally - that honour goes to 'Doublezero' from the Edition38 forum, and was quite ground breaking when it first hit the show scene, it was certainly one of the first 'Retro' inspired MK1s in the UK
