Also, I'm loving the tyre-tread mudguards on the Vanwall (?) in the first pic. They look like they could be really difficult/expensive to make, presumably they could be done in fibreglass? Would be an interesting look on Hi-boy style hot-rods. Most hi-boys I see just have flat steel ones painted matt-black (because running without fenders is for crazy Americans with no road-worthiness laws!).

I must admit, there is something insanely satisfying about hand building a car, so you have something no-one else has. It's even better when other people like it too!

that's Jay Leno's isn't it? Yep - AKA the 'Tank Car' Plenty of stuff on the net explaining every detail of the car, but if you can find the vid of Jay explaining all about the car, you'll love it even more. Personally, don't like the guy, but LOVE his passion for cars! |

I like the "Tumbler" from the batman film, they built it up and then found out it was good enough to do all the stunts they wanted, saved em doing CGI stuff.

The Tumbler is probably has to be the highest priority on my WANT list! They made five originally, so it means there is a higer chance of me ever owning one than if they had only made the one! Couple of my faves   There was a handbuilt aluminium hotrod doing the shows 5 or 6 years back that i've not seen for ages... twas purely sexual but i'll be bug*ered if I can find a pic  |
