...someone first told me about this Sceptre about 18 months ago, at that time I went to look at it and the guy told me it belonged to his son, who was going to 'do it up' (where have we heard that before ). As we were in the area again today we called round again... yes, its still there... got the same line about the son doing it up. I offered 50 quid for it (for spares) and left my phone number, the guy said his son was asking 300 quid 'last year' ;D ...err, hello, planet Earth calling... The annoying thing is that if he doesn't sell it now it will probably end up chrushed... and people slag off banger racers for destroying old cars.... On a lighter note, I also spotted this Dolomite while we were out 'n about...

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

if he hasnt done anything with it in 18 months then the chances are hes never going to. it would be such a shame to see that crushed. people like that are worse than the banger boys. far better get 50 notes off you than whatever pittance the scrap man will give him. could we not just go round and twoc it for you ;D

Shame really, three hundred quid's frankly ridiculous, and you know it'll never get restored, it'l end up in a bloody scrappy.

If it were mine I'd leave the bodywork exactly as it is - unwashed and all, slam it over some deep-dish alloys... perfect!
But then, my neighbours are trying to get me an ASBO because of my many.... patinated cars.... I aim to offend. ;D

Hehe, thanks for the support! Yeah they got the hump with me becuse they don't like the view out of the window. I was tempted to respond that I don't particularly like the view of a fat ugly cow walking past my window, but I showed restraint... ;D It'll all blow over - my car stock is depleting soon anyway

that number plate could b worth a few quid too Doesn't the doner car have to be MOT'd for a number transfer? (not that I would dream of puting the plates on my Sceptre and taking it for an MOT... )

yeah has to be an MOT'd car...quite frustrating since there is a pickup some old yellow thing forgot what it actually is.. plate is worth a massive fat amount, but cant sell it because would cost me more to get the pickup into an MOT'able state.. sucks balls

;D ;D ;D Sal was telling me the trouble your Hearse caused too. Made me glad I'm not alone! The situation has eased though - the Mazda of Doom went this evening (sniff) - off on its final adventure across the Alps! A mere 5 cars outside now
