Isn't the M3 CSL made out of cardboard or something daft?
I'll have the original (& best) all the way!
(I'll wager that if you factor in inflation, the current CSL is a right snip at £50,000 or however much it costs)

new csl is good.... old one born out of racing.. not just another marketing thing....even if it does have some coolness... i do like the new one a lot, but if i had to choose the old one every bloody time.

I would imagine the original would have more character, I'd be happier to own the classic in any case, not only because you'd actually be able to maintain it yourself, but round here the original might pass as just a tarted up old banger to the local ignorant ned types, who'd be less likely to steal it or pan the windows looking for a good sound system or be off the wheels, whearas round my way an M3 CSL wouldn't last five minutes, even if you put it in the driveway, it'd be gone without a trace or wrecked in no time.

New one.
If I had an original, I'd be scared to damage it but if I had a new one, I'd rag it's bloody nuts off!

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

And you'd have fun doing it...it sounds gorgeous.
I know it's not real, but mine on GT4, has a racing exhaust, a chip and upgraded brakes...and thats it, and it's just done the 'Ring in 7.56
I do like them...old one is just as cool tho, but I think the new one would win for me...

Complete no brainer got to be the old one. I would take the new one as a daily chugga if my arm was twisted though I suppose ;D

Old one, no doubt about it. Modern beemers are just plain ugly

Both.
Old looks, up-to-date mechanicals...although obviously not a the expense of a genuine classic CSL!

If I had to choose, it'd definitely be the original, kitted out with all the racing guff as well... purely for the noise and the chrome IMO.
However, why not get the best of both worlds, and transplant M3 CSL running gear into an old 3.0 coupe and make a CSL Batmobile replica? Cool, yes?

I think you could be slaughtered alive by BMW people if you did that! That'd be there problem not ours,.. besides they would have to catch us first,.. and our car would be faster ... I'd have a CSL sans wing....
