Quick question. I need a new back box for my Monza. Standard are not that easy to get hold of so I am thinking of an aftermarket type. Problem is it has two inlets into the back box which is not that common. Silencer is about 600mm long and 200mm diameter. Only ones I have seen on ebay are like the below link which I would have to cut and weld back to keep it as two pipes. cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNIVERSAL-STAINLESS-STEEL-EXHAUST-BACK-BOX-Style-9_W0QQitemZ7994562346QQcategoryZ38786QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemdon't really want two 4" pipes though. Does anyone know of another car with two pipes into the back box or am I gonna have to join the pipes before they get into it. I know E30/E34/E36 BMW`s have two pipes into there back boxes but there silencers are twisted. Any info greatly appreciated

Thats a genious solution locoster! I was gonna say that ashley make a 2 into 1 adapter for their 4 branch downpipes they do for the escort, not much money either, but it depends if the two pipes are the same distance apart on both applications but i like locosters idea better

With a 3 litre(?) Monza bike cans will sound the nuts as well Check your local Powerflow supplier - they seem to have a Y-piece in their range.

Cheers for that bud. £97 delivered. Seems a lot for what it is. They have stopped making one of the front pipes which I had already heard from autobahnstormers. Toying with the idea of making my own. Can buy all the bits from milners in stainless for about £35 ;D

Anyone know any other good exhaust links? I need a centre section for the Beta, Bosal don’t list it any more though so its not showing at bodyshop warehouse or ‘Exhaust shack’.

that one on ebay is just a couple of cherry bombs welded together via bracket, with a y piece on the front, most car accessory shops sell cherry bombs cheap, so u should be able to make your own for not too much, cheaper than bike cans too, try trudys or motor world,
oh hows the piazza?

I`d already priced cherry bombs when I saw that one and they were starting from around £40each from demon tweeks. Try here if you fancy making a one yourself. Seems cheap enough for stainless (Of course the price goes up a bit once you add a roll of stainless mig wire) www.milneroffroad.com/PIPE.HTMProblems at work mean I havent been able to do a lot with any cars lately so just fitting jobs in when I can. So the Piazza still hasnt turned a wheel.

mines been converted to a single pipe from the first silencer box, i.e, comes down from the manifold into 2, hits the first box, comes out as one big fat one, then onto a cherry bomb...

I removed the centre silencer from the Saab when it rusted and welded in 3" stainless tube. With the remaining single standard back box it sounded awful, raspy and burbly. I got bits from Milner off-road and made a 3" bore straight through stainless back box and couldn't believe how much better it sounded. It's really quiet and doesn't pop or backfire. I thought I was going to have to make two, but with the single silencer and original cat it's fine. Mate did the same with his Integrale and he was impressed too.
