;DWell a chap I know just got into go-pedding, got him self a cheap tired sport, took him a while, got it running, rode it, hated it! Decided an airtyred bigfoot was more his thing, I had a frame and pretty much most the parts he needed so long story short I hooked him up and he paid and left to build his biggy.... leaving his knackered sport behind looking sorry for it's self! I couldnt bin it! So i'm gonna buld it up! I'm thinking frame is damaged and never be mint again, But don't mean it cant be riden again. So bare metal frame, Duck tape deck etc etc, Real ratty look! Any sugestions? really like to see what u guys have in ya minds. At the moment it needs both wheels changing (rear is just usable) and defo a new T-pole and head bearing set. But I got all the bits I need so I'm good, give me summut to do on holiday! So here we are! looking very sory for its self!

Well, being the builder of several go karts ,I always find the best ones ,are the rough looking ,don't give a monkeys what happens to it types! So rat look would be my choice TBH!Would be a good comparison ,having them side by side at a show etc ! Name them summat like chalk and cheese ....or.... shine and dull or summat . Just my quirky 2p .............!

STRIPPED! Well knew the bearings had gone in the steering stock. But never seen any come out like this before! ;D So yeah, Stripped and ready to de-powder coat! What a game that was! Powdercoat is hard going! What the Nitromors couldnt do, the wirebrush did! Going... going.... GONE! I wasnt going to strip the left fork too! I already had a stripped and stronger old style "flat" So that's where it's stopping for today! Crack on tomorrow need to have a built ped for the weekend!

how does the head bearings adjust? I see a threaded steerer tube but no lock ring does the silver and black handle post have an internal thread?
as for the bearings. You can use loose bearings in bike style headsets. The bearing clips are just for ease of assembly. It gives a bit more bearing area when its filled with loose ball bearings. The small wheels, short headstock and long handle post will give a lot of strain on the headset cups and bearings. Check for any pitting

It's all there just not in the pics!
The black and silver thing is like a wedge that gets pulled up by bolt to tighten into the fork to steer.... if u get what i mean! lol
Then the T-poll mounts onto that so it can fold.

Well, it's together almost rat look is defo summut that has to grow over time, it's too clean! Too many "new" parts too! Well so far: raw fork and steering back on Deck, was already ratty enough so it's stayed Now, engines engines engines! So i raided one of my stock piles. Found a stock LH motor that is known good (all new gaskets and internals but like a 1.6 CVH in car terms). To save time, i want to be riding it this weekend so it helped it was ready built and ready to bolt up, i have bits to build a RC motor (1.6 Zetec on Thorttle boddies in car terms) but it'll take time and kinda be a waste of a good motor. I was also thinking of building up a G2D i have (1.6 Pinto type motor). Old, Strong, reliable, stoneage! But time is against me! I got a few other engines but way to expensive to bolt to this! FInd tank.... out of 4..... i had 4 that leak! So quick farting about i managed to get one that didnt leak (i hope i can only test with water) SO now I'm off to finish up, Wheels, Axels, Set the brakes up and bits of tinkering....

Well after a few hicups! Nothing major it's together and working well! I wanted to fit a 3rd bearing but couldnt find it when i needed it so i didnt! But i've since found it AND a clutch kit. So I'm yet to decide which to chose! But at the moment it's finished, and running really nice! I re-fitted the serial number! First start (well after i tuned it, engine was un-tested so after fiddling with the fuel mix it starts a treat first time and very quiet) AND first ride! Fat dude on a go-ped lmao ;D

Been ratting Over sized K&N: check Strange use of old Piston: check Something that might offend someone: check A way of making even more noise: check! Not forgetting, Brakes made to fit from something totally different! We had a go-ped race night last Saturday night, and I'm quite proud to say. I won "Rattiest ped of the night" and destroyed my rear wheel:

Liking this alot- I have had alot of fun with my goped but it has been relegated to the back of the garage for some time- its a tami-z if memory serves me correctly (held as a pile-o-curse word in gopedding circles) but i like it...
