Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Expensive, but VERY high standards of execution.

Without doubt a superb vehicle but there are a lot of other vehicles (even more impressive) you could buy at that price.

510's have a legendary following and they are a cult car in Australia/US/NZ/japn....., but sadly not in UK ..I am not suprised at the asking price, given the tasty choice of mods and as Rmad says the beautiful execution. Which days is the lottery rollover? ;D

WOW that for me is the best 510 i have ever seen. if you consider the cost of the parts and labour i think its a realistic price, but thats not necessarily what its worth. Its a shame there is non (or as good as) in the UK they are one of my all time favorite cars ever. If i had the $30,000 odd the reserve might be, id buy a tidy stock and spend all the cash on doing it up myself, it kinda spoils the point if everytime someone asked you about it you said "it was like this when i bought it" Working on a car and modifying it is the best part for me personally. however it is the most pant achingly cool 510 ever and near perfect in every way (in my humble oppinion) and worth every penny!

Sorry... but no. I cannot see how that is a sound investment. For that money - you could have several Jensen Interceptors, a Lambo Espada or a whole fleet of normal Retro Rides fodder, with enough left over for a damn good p!ss up and a curry. A far better bet in my opinion, no matter how pretty the paint is... Put it another way - I'd bet you'd have as much fun in a £100 sh!tter with some wide steels, some matt black paint, roof rack and rusty barrell. Yet at the end of it all, the most you'd lose is £200 if you had to stuff it into a ditch And that's what I get my jollies from... ;D

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.
