Hey all,
Was pointed this way by a friend, and decided to share my vehicles with you.
First off, here's my '71 Vauxhall Victor custom.
As it sits right now, needing the front wings fitting, the replacement driver's side door I have and in desperate, desperate need of a new coat of paint.

It started life as a conifer green 1.6 Victor estate. Somebody putzed about in it for about 10 years until it was chopped down into the shape it is today. The roof was removed at the B-pillar, and the back of a saloon FD was grafted on to give that profile. The back window might look familiar- that's the entirety of a Mk2 Cortina Estate hatch welded in there.
It also had a 3.3 litre straight six put in from the donor saloon, and then due to lack of time and space was sold. The next owner built a tidy Rover 3.5 V8 for it and fitted it in, with big valve heads from a SD1 Vitesse, high compression pistons from a P5B, and then apparently sold it on. In the hands of someone with too much money and not enough sense, it was stripped out and raced until it hardly ran any more, had rusted out badly in the chassis legs, floor pans, wheelarches etc.
That's how I bought it (as seen on the trailer), all shiny, but underneath it was a typical rusty old Vauxhall.
I've since redone the inner, outer sills, chassis legs, floors, inner arches etc, fitted a new door as the old one had rotted out, got a new pair of front wings to fit, rebuilt an SD1 engine, warmed over a little on a Borg-Warner model 35 autobox from a P5B, with Ventora 3.3 rear axle (3.8:1) and sorted the brakes, steering, suspension and electrics. Manages a 14.5/85 standing 1/4 mile now. Sits neatly on a set of 13x7 and 13x8 Weller Sunraysias, which helps []
Now it's just sitting up waiting for the money to come along to ship it out to the USA lol.
