That looks cool and that colour really suits it! Lets see a pic of the drop then? and what are you talking about going from 60mm to 40mm shouldnt you be going to 80mm? ? This car is crying out for a set of theses ( with brown centres! )

That's really nice. Very clean. I don't think I've seen one in gold before. How much of a job is it fitting the injection system? My 320 has the solex carb and although it goes okay I'm having problems with the auto choke and the injection change seems like a sensible mod.

That looks sweet, such a lovely shape the E21. I'm with Skyway though, those rims would look the nuts ;D (Not that there's anything wrong with slots of course )

Hi, thanks for the good comments. As for the springs.......60mm may be ok. I have seen a few with this drop that look really good. Only thing I'm unsure of is tucking the rear wheel behind the arch. Cant make my mind up if i like the style or not. I get the kit Monday so all being well next weekend and i can get it fitted and ill put some pics up. Those wheels above would look quality, bit out of my price range though i reckon. I do want a set of nice slots as you just don't see E21's with em on so I'm going for a bit of originality. Like i mentioned though its a struggle trying to get them fitted as their different dimensions. I have a set of 13's i got for cheap.....i just put them up next to the car to have an idea of the look - they shine up nice too ;D I ideally want some bigger dished slots, will prob sell these ones on in the near future You mentioned the injection conversion Cort.... This basically consists of taking the loom, ecu, intake and all the rest from an E30 thats running Motronic 1.3 The engines from our E21's are basically the same so it all pretty much bolts straight on with only a few modifications (ie battery re-located to boot). The hardest part (which someone is helping me with) Is splicing the loom into the E21 fuse box. Carbs are always unreliable, moody things that hate bad weather. Putting motronic on just takes all that away and lets the ecu deal with all the curse word. The Solex carbs on these cars are a bag of knackers, and i cant wait to get the one off mine so i can destroy it !

Some of the 2002 guys might know where to lay your hands on some Wolfrace slot mags but if your interested I know the whereabouts of some Revolutions from an e21? I don't think I've seen another e21 with them? Clear indicators would suit your car I reckon? Are you going to make it to Ace Cafe at end of the month?

Cant make the ace cafe meet unfortunately no. Cheers for the offer on the wheels, but I cant afford jack curse word for a while now, spent up on that suspension kit. Got the MOT due fairly soon too Not a fan of clear indicators myself, I put some dark smoked ones on a while back and I'm happy with the look of them. Ta

I don't think I've seen another e21 with them? Clear indicators would suit your car I reckon? Are you going to make it to Ace Cafe at end of the month? REVOS from an e21 ...... 4 spoke or 5 spoke I WANTS THEM !!! i just bought an e21 once i finish polishing it up ill put some pics up

Not had to do any welding at all.......yet! Mind you, gone for MOT today so things could be about to change.

Id take all the rear interior out mate and have a good look around. Tops of the rear arches are swines for nasty spots. Have'nt seen many without this problem myself. Easy fix though, a couple of patches does the job.

Will check that out. Is that inspection panel where you can check the fuel lines and breather hose?

Thats where the main fuel tank and sender/level unit are housed. Good to have a goosey in there to see if there is any corrosion on the tank,check connector clips and have a good spray of hammerite. Best way to check breather hoses is to jack the car up and lower the tanks from the rear. I will be re-placing mine this summer as disintegration on the hoses is also a common problem with E21's. I'm sure you get the lovely fuel smell when you fill it up too ?

Hahah, yes mate, their all the same. BMW decided not to go with the fuel grade hoses on their luxury cars during this period it would seem . That paired with a wibblepoo carb, gives it the rather familiar smells we all know and....kinda love

-60mm is the way to go with these cars, when my E21 is finally on the road it should be a lot lower than 60mm! Looking good though, are you planning to swap a 325i lump or just the injection?

Hi Rob, Dunno about the 325 lump. I originally thought id put one in but i don't really see the need at present. Its big, heavy and all its gonna do is bump the insurance up. Will stick with the motronic M20B20 and see how i get on. If i decide to go that route at least its already wired up to take it. As for this spax milarky I'm looking forward to going for the 60 drop now. Like you said about the negative camber, it should be fun! Bit unsure about how spax make the kit for M10's and M20's instead of seperate. Obviously alot more weight in the 6 pots. Might get some stronger springs on the front some time. Fingers crossed Jim can help me out to get it all fitted in the near future. Got to get some bits from BMW first though it would seem.
