I fitted a radio to the Toledo today, just a simple one with only 2 wires, 1 wire from the ignition which was already in place and an earth to a nice little hole under the dash. Tried it and it works first time, how ever for some strange reason the heater blower and the reverse lights have stopped working all the fuses are fine i can't see any thing wrong so i'm stumped. Any one got any suggestions?

You need some of that replacement Lucas wiring harness smoke, that'll fix your problem.

Update: The reverse lights turned them selfs on at about 2am last night, they appear to have self repaired but at least they work now. I can't find any lose wires but i will have a further rummage today. sadly no the heater still doesn't work with the radio connected or disconnected Also today as i was driving along in the rain me wipers stopped working ;D

Does the loom run behind the radio you've fitted?

right wipers are now working fine, i replaced the orginal 1972 fuses with some new ones. However still no heater blower sort of, there is one of many bundles of wire behind a card board panel thing

Are there any hidden in line fuses? BL are good at hiding them and not telling anyone. You could always cruise down to Thorrington and let me have a look at it
