Work of art: I know the guy that built that as he also has a GTM it belongs to GAV, its a very tidy speedster and was running 13.7s at the avon park mini day good enough for second place,, it weighs some 470Kgs, a mega speester i usually don't like them but i love this one so many trick bits on it, shame i couldnt make it to MITP with my current runabout Mini subbing in for the GTM for a bit...looks like it was a mega day WEST

Yeah, that speedster was proper stunning. The amount and quality of work gone into it is unreal.
Was a good show, much better than last year at silverstone. Tony Mason was there too.
And i used sun cream so didn't get burnt - bonus!

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them The blue speedster was my favourite car down at Brighton a while back, looks better everytime I see it, great detailing. Gav looked pretty cool running up the strip at Avon Park with his black potty helmet and goggles Any more pics of the V8 Min, looks like a real sleeper

ooh loving the standard GT's thanks for sharing the pics, spotted a few I recognise there. That pink piggynose-headlights monstrosity really is dire. Seen it driving through wakefield a few times, nicely done but disgusting to look at, lol.

Where was MITP held? I was at a Stag Owners' Club bash at Prescott and saw dozens of Minis going to or coming from somewhere. Great pix! That V8 is a bit chicken oriental... Despite my ident, I do have a soft spot for classic Minis. Not the modern ones trading on the name, though. ;-) I'm

That V8 one...is that transverse mounted? What 'box is he using? Any pix of the car itself, it looks quite standard externally?
I love that speedster too...although it'd look better with some low-back vinyl seats IMO. I'm sure the seat/roll bar combination is the correct safety choice though - aesthetics aren't everything are they? ;D

I reckon a Spag-esque Princess setup mounted in the back would be ideal for that mid-V8 thingy.
That speedster is simply brilliant - more things should be speedsterised.
*plots*
It does need low black vinyl buckets though.

Yes, twas transverse mounted using a princess box (so i overheard)
No other pics tho i'm afraid, but it was pretty standard looking from the outside apart from some 13" 5 spoke revos on it (i think). It was actually a bit ropey in places in all fairness, like a general mini of that age would look, if you see what i mean - which obviously adds to the effect
It was on a club stand and I only noticed it because i was walking past when he started it up and everyone starting walking over.

Did anyone camp over on the saturday night? I was with the MiniResource bunch, we had a club stand there with a black vtec clubman etc.
But tbh I was too hung over to appreciate the show on sunday at all.
