Just did a show photo swap with SidewaysGTM and got these from him as well... They are from Avon Park back in July, the CV broke on his first run on Saturday but manged to coast it upto the shut off area somehow Not surprising really when you put 140bhp (without gas) through something designed to take 35bhp ;D Mind you, they did last 17,000 miles, 2 trackdays, 1 autotest and probably 10 launches up the strip. He changed both in an hour and ran a 13.56@104.9mph after that

I was a bit surprised when it happened to say the least...well its moved the rear disc and bigger cv conversion up the list a bit of the next mods to the GTM. this is before i put even more power in her.
so far ive twisted/broken three sets of drivshafts, on my fourth set that are an exotic material and have seemed to have solved the problem[touch wood]
and now one CV joint added to the list.

LoL are they front single leading drums there? did they even work?? ,,not quite,,,if you look closely you'll see the difference.. time to educate the World of GTM, uses mini front subframe/suspension/brakes on the rear, as the engine is there usually a series but I'm running HONDA power on heavily modded subframe. i use Mini Drum uprights, CVs, with a Mini Rear Drum backplate modified and fitted, and mini rear brake setup, look closely and you'll see the handbrake mech, did this purely to get a sensible handbrake until i get my disc conversion sorted for the MOT, got MGB GT slave cylinders in there aswell and the rear work really well only glitch is they wear the rear shoes a bit quick. but brake balance is great. you'd have to be mad to use sinlge leading shoes on the front Not surprising considering the hiding you give the car EVERY time you drive it And you wouldnt......shes not always driven that hard its still damn quick without trying lol, but yes i do make use of the FORCE ;D WEST
