i do want it! that would look class with 2 motorbike throttle bodies hanging off it running MS injection, alas i currently do not have 65p never mind £65! I'm planning to make a tuned variable length manifold when i MS it, but it is a class bit of kit!

The guy from TJ Motorsports is looking into buying it and getting permission from Mr. Bill to reproduce them...
Racer - What would you recommend to release a few ponies from the 1256 when it's in my hands..?

probably the cheapest way is to fit a 1" 3/4 SU, port the inlet and exhaust manifolds and the head and fit a better flowing exhaust. The stock cam is based on a luke warm profile that was used in the 1159s so will rev to 6500 rpm all day. Bottom end is apparently good for 8500rpm without strapping the mains so thats not an issue. The engine is surprisingly pokey from the factory but a few mods can make a quite respectable back road burner! Ive bought a race cam and am starting to build another engine for mine. Ive started getting bits together for the MS system too!

How easy do you think MS will be on the 6 port engine?
I'm thinking of buying a 1.4 8v to build and play with for MS...

cor i havnt seen one of those manifolds for years, proper nice
penski, why bother with a 1.4? when u fone your insurance they don't care if its a 1.4 or a 2.0 , its still modified either way and will cost about the same.

I reckon it would be a peice of curse word. The wagon has a pretty huge bay as it is. Oddly enough, there's a 'Carlton gearbox' thread on Chevettes.com at the moment. www.chevettes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10111Would you guys agree that the lower rolling radius on the Chevette would lower the ratios enough to make the Carlton box workable..? *n

How do you know the ratios are different? I presume the diff ratios are different, the gearbox ratios could be very similar.
