it's got nice wheels (for a golf). For 10k I was presuming it's a 928 but I'm not too up on Porsches, I must be wrong 'cause I don't remember a 4.7L V8 golf.

if ya gonna buy a porsche, why get anyhting other than a 911? it doesn't make sence to me. I was thikin about gettin a ferrari, but he didn't want to look like a middle aged man posing, coz the 928 won't do that at all. If you're a middle aged man posing, thats what ya gonna look like whatever you buy.

He means the wheels look better on a Golf.
I'd prefer a good (and for 10K it better be!) 928 to a tatty Scimitar!

personally i like 928's, i think they are pretty cool. 911's are awesome, i love them, but every curse word has/wants one these days. But for 10k he could have had a decent enough 911. Pillock mentioned about the golf as porsche wheels are frequently used on golfs

don't get me wrong, technically they're sound, the 928 S especially. But personally i think they look like a big bag of curse word with a very fat ass. As for the 911, thats a piece of metal that wet dreams are made of...

I love 928's and If I had a scimitar clogging up my drive, i'd get it scrapped/flogged/burned/buried ASAP in order to make room for a Weissach wonder wagon. I hope his 10k has bought him a late-model 32v manual one cos it sounds like a fugging lot for a 928 though!

How about a scim with a 928 engine....... .. gets rid of the ford v6 and the fattarse porker in one hit...

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Totally agree, never seen the appeal of them scimi's. The 928 on the other hand, yum yum, loved them ever since playing chase HQ in the 80's. "let's go mister driver!"

I'd rather have a 928 than a 911.

just out of interest, did the 928 come from a councilor in the Nottinghamshire area. Reason I ask is a friend of mine resprayed one in that colour recently and the reg vaugly rings a bell. The resprayed one had a scruffy white leather interior and looked ok from a distance but when up close every panel gap was off and generally was a bit of a dog
