the back bumper on the sunbeam was a bit worse for wear so i got another to replace it - the mounts were a bit knackered to i decided to use the ones off the current bumper, nuts were rusted tight so instead of messing about it thought i'll grind the heads off doing it quickly and giving me more beer time anyhow one slight slip with the grinder and there was a chunk missing out of my thumb Plentry of blood and a trip to a&e later

What you're supposed to do is cauterise the wound with something hot, sew it up with cotton and keep going.

OooOooOh that looks like it must have hurt!! I found out the hard way from doing a whole bunch of house rennovation stuff that if there is a quick way and a proper way, the quick way will usually end up with you breaking the thing your working on, or breaking yourself, or both. Now I do things the slow way. If I don't have the tool to do something, I'll wait and buy the tool, I've broken so much stuff doing things with the incorrect tools, it's just not worth it!!

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Worst ive had was some nasty arc eye, so unbelivable uncomfortable yuo wouldent belive. I'm so careful o grinders, i have a lot of respect for the power! A mate of mine had a grinder in his car that was stripped out, the plug was outside the car and it had no guards on. Then with all the doors shut with no handles on he dropped the grinder, they don't half fly around when unrestrained! looks like a nasty one mate, bet ull be a touch more careful in future! J
