I was searching for something else entirely and this popped up in my search, I got distracted and forget what it was I was searching for in the first place ;D For about £110 I could get a kit to suit my car and a 330mm wide 10 row cooler! Is that a good price? Does anyone know? I won't be getting it in a hurry anyway but thought you chaps might also be interested www.thinkauto.com/index.htm

I'm thinking of sticking one on me mini. I have one about 120mm square that i was going to use (internaly) but I'm thinking i could get a 13rower, hang it out the front under the bumper?
The dilemma ive got is should i connect it? i don't relly like the idea of adding fake bits to my car. makes me feel like some chav kid in halfords :/ but its alot to risk!

Well if it got hit then you could loose all oil pressure rather quickly. Its pretty vunrable sitting right at the front of the car less than 6" off the ground.

Oil cooler used to be front mounted on my escort and I removed that as I was more bothered about some little curse word slashing the oil pipe rather than damage wouldnt mind so much where I live now though.

if you aren't gonna connect it, don't put it on! Thats my view.
Obv I'm telling you to connect it, I'm not telling you not to put it on. Does that make sense?

i'd just angle it down slightly if you can, so any stones hopefully have some of the force taken out of the impact. maybe some kind of mesh protector? dunno how nerdy that would look!
i'm with the B on this one - if it's not connected it's silly.

am I the only one that thinks it looks like a total half ass bodged job ?
Oil coolers and radiators live behind grilles for a very good reason.

My bad boy is one of the biggest Mocal oil coolers you can get! 34 row 330mm wide BEAST. I suppose you need it on an oil cooled engine (possibly with a turbo) ;D
