Absolutely gutted to have missed it.
If only I'd stayed in on saturday night.
Oh well. Maybe another time. (Can't do next month... that's the day the baby is due!.... then again, SP is less than 10 miles from Bedford hospital.......)

Nice gratuitous blonde picture Apparently these come free when you spend over £500 in the Ripspeed section of Halfords - for you to apply to the passenger seat of your blue Saxo ;D Was nice to meet up with both AdrianSi and Racer86 - both your cars were looking ace. I was particularly impressed with Racer's car-port paint job & the paintwork on Adrian's restored Metro was an absolute credit to him and his dad's workmanship (the paint was better than factory!) Pleased with my car's 19.2sec quarter (my slowest ever pass ;D) Which I thought wasn't bad for a 60hp stocker. The idea behind my run is to get a 'base' time for comparison for times which I get after carrying out a number of engine mods I have planned over the winter. Having never really messed around with engines too much in the past, I'm going to treat my tuning as a learning excercise. I'm not going to make the Derby into a fire breathing monster - but if I increase the power by 10bhp and knock a second of the 1/4 time then I feel I may have proved something to myself I think you've covered anything that was interesting in your pics - shame it was pretty quiet and rather thin on the ground on retro machines.

Cool pics! DerbyDan - did you thrash that Cossie (?) you were up against on the strip then...? The driver of the Sierra didn't know which way I went.... ....... unfortunately I was behind him (I did get the jump on him initially though ;D) I think that 3 door Sierra had either a V6 or V8 in it, it certainly wasn't a Cossie - was driven by a rather scary looking 'wide-boy' chap rearwheelnick; a mate of mine has an S14 also (incidentally his name is Nick) He's only done a few choice mods but will easily do 13s and as you say hit an indicated 160 - excellent cheap performance!
