Very nice dude, what's hiding under the cover at the top of the drive? Oh, and welcome aboard That would be my 100e up the side, hiding under the cover. Dean's estate is lovely, maybe one day he'll give it to me ...then again I should probably keep on dreaming ;D

Am I right to get the 2.0 to a 2.1 it has to be a 205 block?

I think it doesn't HAVE to be, but the 205 is quite a bit stronger.

No you can 2.1 a 2.0 block BUT the 205 has slightly thicker bore walls so it's safer AND the 205 was just plain old better made so there's less chance of the breaking through the bore walls due to the bores being off centre.

Nice! I wonder why we never see Mk1 saloons with Mk 2 noses like the estate was... kinda like a 'Clubman' mark one... I love it when the manufacturers don't have the budget to fully revamp a model so they graft some of the new model onto the old in the hope the punters won't notice (see also mk3 polo estate: Oh - it's a Seat Ibiza!... Rear of Mk1 escort van -oh look - it's the doors off the anglia van, Saab 90, Morris Ital ... etc etc... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
