Thanks for the nice comments lads. Terry, this is similar to your Z except you only took about a year !!! The MOT man was impressed and surprised when he asked me to read out the mileage on the clock ,,,, 2 miles ( new GPS speedo.) I have cut about a steel bonnet and welded a shallow bulge on it, unfortunately its warped a bit so me mate John is in charge of getting it strait again then it can be painted. Currently running round with a fibre glass one with a couple of slots with the engine poking through. SmokeEm, we looked and measured loads of bulges on production cars but nothing suitable. When you see the finished one you might not even spot the bulge in it. Have it booked in to be mapped on a rolling road on 29th , then Classic Ford on 31st. Thats if nothing goes wrong in the meantime .

Absolute perfection.
A stunning build, beautifully executed.
I'd better just head off for a little lie down now.

Just got back from Classic Ford. You were parked not 20 feet from me but didn't get to meet you for a chat. I was working all day on the OSF merchandise stand that was behind Scott's Cossied Arched Mk2 Van.
Your car looked STUNNING!

Hi SmokeEm.
It happens like that,
I bought a sticker from you guys late afternoon, trouble is unless your standing next to your car all day, no one knows who is who .
Thanks for the comment.
Maybee the club could do T shirts to order with an image of your chosen, ( own) car on it.

This has realised all the promise that it had when the thread first popped up, a true testament to hard work, ingenuity and an awesome idea all coming together. One of my cars of the year right here. Tell me more... My speedo on the Datsun is not working so well, and I can either get another sensor hooked up, or get a GPS speedo (which is what I use on my phone at the moment), what did you get and how was the install?

As for the T shirt idea, I will have to look into that the next time the Admin/Mods get together. You must be getting bored by now Alan, what's next? lol

Thanks guys,, Hotwire, the GPS speedo came from Speedhut in the states, They can detail the gauge to your spec, colour, background etc, Not that expensive. If i had thought about it earlier i would have bought a heads up GPS speedo and sunk it into the top of the dash before the screen was fitted, They are on Ebay for less than £50 SmokeEm, i am fettling the cortina for a bit before i start another project, but i have been keeping tabs on 1956 ford F150 trucks? , oh and Falcons, And Galazy 500's
