one of my superb Honda mopedsI am not trying to be morbid or anything but the very recent loss of a best mate has prompted a serious look at my life and what I need and don't need. a few decisions have been made , first one is that I do not need two of these and I can't honestly decide which one to keep so here they are , you choose grey & red one is a 1974 model , has tax & MOT 'till July and a nice number for GAV , it's transferable too blue one is a 1972 model , currently on a SORN both have been restored to the same high standard and disregard to that cost , IMHO th eblue one is marginally the better one but thats being very picky , but that's me I'm going to say £475 for the grey one I'm in Stockport if anyone want's to see them 0161-432-9733 for serious enquires NOTE my Plymouth van and Nissan Cube are also on the list to go , so I shall push those ads now and listen to offers

I clearly have a vested interest, having paid less than the going rate for an unrestored example of these, 1975 vintage with MOT till Oct, not sure there is tax.
For the money, you are getting a stunning toy/tool.
Pedalcarjoe has very high and exacting standards, and if I am not mistaken, the restoration of these two mopeds was done by an aircraft engineer.
I challenge anyone to find similar value at the price, and more importantly the quality of these mopeds.
It is a pity they are in the "parts for sale" section, as fewer people will see them.
But thems the rulez.
Good luck with the sale Ernie with selling one of them, and I know the decission was not easy, but it is the right decission.

Hi Ernie,
I would suggest you start a thread in the general board, entitled "Immaculate and priceless restorations"
Tell the simple story of the two mopeds being done by the guy who did them, as the question, "how many hours work would go into this?"
Post a few photos of the mopeds, and some more than the ones that you posted already..... detail stuff, and arty.
Then mention in passing that one is for sale in the "Parts for sale" section, and copy and paste the link to them.... that way you get to discuss, generate interest, and advertise on the general board without breaking the new rules.
Got an original owners manual for my PC50 off Ebay, £7.00 delivered.
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Rian

I was definitely expecting a 4 figure price tag. Looks like some real attention to detail has been put into the bikes.

Indeed they are most handsome mopeds. I remember in the late 80's as a teenager it was the craze to rag the curse word out of these at our local clay pits. Ruddy indestructable they are...It's nice to see some restored. Incidentally, I saw a mint looking old early 70's Honda 100 (?) at a local junkyard recently.. Early 70's model in orange.. Wish I'd had it now..

I would say, looking at what I have paid for, and what it will ultimately cost me to do my PC 50, that these are such great value.
Deservedly the "Ad of the week"

Can these be cycled like a normal bike and then switched on to use as a moped, also do these have gears?

Can these be cycled like a normal bike and then switched on to use as a moped, also do these have gears? yes they can be cycled like any Bicycle with the flick of a lever this must be done without the engine running no gears just rev and go one nice thing is that they are quite narrow and do not take up much more room than a conventional Bicycle
