I thought as i might as well as daveymk1gti.
I would offer my services as a mechanic.
A bit of history about myself I'm fully qualified have worked for VW/Audi, Volvo and Mercedes and currently work for big indypendent in Tadley.
I can offer a great service for both your modern and your classic. Let face it the "Credit Crunch" has either made you put your classic on the back burner and your modern pain to keep going becuase you would rather spend your money on the classic.
my labour rate is almost half the usual garage rate @ 25.00, i don't make money on parts.
Things i can do: Brakes (from fitting pads, to complete brake pipes front to back) Clutches, Cam Belts, De-coke's, Fully Service, Intrim Service (both to manufactors specification) can sort out MOTs (35.00) and MOT fail work. Also can offer full engine rebuilds (inc, full bottom end balancing and lightneing, head polishing/porting)
I can do welding but since davemk1gti has offerd this service i wont. don't want to steal work off him.
I can travel.
