What a day out, been pukka, mini se7en club was also there, Baldwin came out on top, sollis 2nd then rogers 3rd. There was some right tasty motors there, no digi pics I'm afraid, all done on 35mm  anyone else go? |

I was there. Brilliant day, although I had to leave early to get back and feed the dogs. (Also wanted to avoid the worst of the traffic as I was driving the smoky Audi, and didn't fancy getting stuck in the Dartford Tunnel and filling it with a blue haze of burnt Quantum semi-synth.)
Group 1 Historic Touring cars were fabulous, that series just seems to get better and better. Escorts going sideways all over the place. I felt sorry for the guy in the Renault 5 GTL, I think he needs to find more power from somewhere. The MG guys were just mad, never seen so many incidents in one race.

Yeah I reckon there must of been some sort of spillage, because they all kept coming off at paddock at the same place! Yeah, the 5 was very out classed, he was a learner though, didn't see the spec of the engine in the paddock though...
Had a look at all the smash ups too close up, the midget that got t-boned wasn't too sad, the tr6 that planted into the TR6 was very lucky! the rad was even intact! needed a front wings though and front panel IIRC.
Caught the sun bad! feeling it now. I want a rwd weber'd fun car now though for weekends! not my fwd point and go!

I wish I'd gone, I really must check the events listings more closely! Is there another classic meet at Brands this year?
