just a quick update,
called the garage to see if i can pick it up tomorrow as he has been closed since friday.
they have done the first run before taking everything off and as standard it was 127bhp (not sure fly or wheels) either way not too bad really especially as the timing was advanced apparently.
they have taken all the injection off and got the carbs fitted but the manifold is too long, they have cut it down and will start work on it tomorrow fitting the fuel pump and tuning ect so fingers crossed i can pick it up tomorrow and the power goes in the right directions

right then, got the car back late last night was there till gone 10. got the carbs fitted but the bonnet would not close, we then shortened the manifold and still no joy. so we had to get creative with the angle grinder or i would have had a wet engine bay on the way home. not a bad look for the time being very mad max, i have put a picture of it as i filled up last night. Also the power is up to 141bhp which is just where i wanted it to go at least its the right direction. there is also the option to drill out another set of jets and use them for track days ect which would give closer to 150bhp. i will add some pics and more info over the weekend when i can use my camera ect Cheers Ben ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/scoop.jpg)

the standard was about 125 when they left the factory right then another quick update in between doing coats of satin i decided to try and get a bit of weight out of the car starting with the easy bits ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70104.jpg) ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70105.jpg) ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70106.jpg) anything else that can come out nice and easy on these? then i finished off the last coat of the satin and added a nice little touch ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70110.jpg) ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70107.jpg) ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70108.jpg) ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70109.jpg) hope you all like regards Ben

LOL at bring on the trumpets! ;D As for the interior, take everything out except seats and dash, you know it makes sense ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Most of it will be phillips screws and clips, if you look around and pull things you should be able to figure out where they're attached.

From having taken the interior out too many times when I had one, the carpets and underlay are very thick, so loose them. If you're keeping it track based then you can sell most of the interior on and get some money for some lightweight bucket seats or harnesses.
Loving the bonnet! My 924 was rollered as well. BHP sounds good, added to some weight reducing and you should have a decent bhp/tonne and retain the 50/50 weight distribution.

yeah I made the stencil just printed it off on word and cut it out with a scalple cheers for the advice monty aany pics of your car rollered? Here's a few, did it in Hammerite Smooth Rollable (some tins come with the rollable sticker warn not to mix with non-rollable stuff!). Took a mate and I most of a weekend to do the whole car, 3 coats or more a panel, taking off all trim and masking up where we couldn't. Was a nice task really, weekend in the sum sipping beer. It came out a bit orange peely which if we took the time to let it dry and sanded between coats we could have avoided but wasn't a huge issue and better than the 4 shaded or red and primer it was before. ![](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/montythemole/P1011195-1.jpg) ![](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/montythemole/P1011205.jpg) ![](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y192/montythemole/P1011209.jpg)

just a quick update for this week sofar decided to drop the gear box oil to see if it would cure the 5th gear wine. ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70112.jpg) got this out in the end smelt of onions absolute pig to refill ![](http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h250/benlg81/STA70113.jpg) but it now a lot smoother and quieter good job well done i think also got the brakes bled and sorted the oil leak. all i got left to do now is fit the fibreglass wings this weekend if the rain holds up for long enough.

Ahhh the joys of gearbox oil fills... I did exactly the same on a Landrover I had. Then someone on here suggsted in future filling via the gearlever.. easy to remove and no playing with tubes.. its now my preferred method! lol
