I'm considering breaking my MGB up but may change my mind, so for now, here are a few prices:
Refurbished Rostyles with 3 new tyres and one tyre with 6mm of tread - £60
Chrome Rostyles x 5 - Perfectly legal (5-6mm all round) tread all round, but 2 wheels are flaking a little. £50.
O/S Driver's Door. VGC with no rot/rust at the bottom. £100ono
Tailgate. VGC, comes with glass £60
Seats with Headrests. Covers have zero rips, but the base of the driver's seat could do with new foam. I'll throw in the rears too. £35
Smiths Dual Temp/Oil Pressure Gauge. This is in Very good condition and works. £25
Smiths Tachometer. £20
Smiths Speedo with 53,000 miles - £20
Smiths Petrol Gauge - £6
Bumpers - These are Stainless steel replacements with zero rust on them and are well made- £70 for the pair.
Engine - This is the original engine with the 12H2709 head which has larger valves and ports than a normal B Series head, which lend themselves well to tuning. A friend may buy this off me, but I am open to offers. It holds great pressure (50Psi) and it does not smoke or rattle
Gearbox with Overdrive - Again, no unusual noises, or crunching, and the overdrive works a treat, with the inhibitor switch kicking in when it should - £Offers
There are other trinkets that I can put up, but I'm planning to take a few bits for mine first if I do go ahead and break it.
