Am I really sad ...... Anyone else thinking ..............Interceptor...............Big red lever by gearstick ;D Or in this case big red button on the steering wheel Does need to be sticking out of the bonnet for Maximum effect though

Oooh just a little runabout AMG CLK/SL55 ;D ;D 5.5l V8 As for fitting..... similar to before with the Cooper (E-PAS Pump, lose the injector cooling Gubbins and bolt it on the side with some even bigger Brackets ;D Providing it fits in front of the dizzy it`ll be fine Big Intercooler and leave the throttle where it is, no bypass valve just decouple the charger on cruise/idle/overrun as they do on the Merc installation, run it slow to start with Cant find any specs on it at the moment but it does shift some air

Well been doing some research and it just gets better ;D Turns out this is a Lysholm type Supercharger, made by IHI for AMG/Mercedes, they are about as efficient as you can get from a belt driven supercharger, with the benefits of a Positive displacement charger (Very efficient at low-Med revs) with none of the drawbacks, coupled with the High rev efficiency of a centrifugal charger ;D They are between 65 & 85% efficient as opposed to 55-65% for the Eaton roots type. In its proper application, it produces 12psi boost and spins at 23000 rpm max engine rpm don't think I`ll be spinning it that quickly though......... Well not to start with anyway

sounds fearsome! I just cant visualise how you can fit it to an Audi straight 5 though. Do us a diagram! Are the 8 separate tracts the inlet or the outlets?

sounds fearsome! I just cant visualise how you can fit it to an Audi straight 5 though. Do us a diagram! Are the 8 separate tracts the inlet or the outlets? The 8 ports are just straight through, they are only connected in airflow to the charger via 2 plenums/chargecoolers that sit atop them. The inlet is at the back and the outlet is the rectangular "Hole" you can see
